30 Kid Friendly Activities In Maryland

On our recent trip home, I was determined to squeeze in as many kid friendly activities in Maryland as possible. I needed some inspiration because I wanted to try new things so naturally I Googled that s$%!. Sure there were tons of results, but I had a really hard time trying to find a list where the results were only kid friendly activities in Maryland. Most of the lists were for activities in Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. While I totally get it, Maryland is a tiny state and it doesn’t take long at all to drive to those places, I felt like the titles were a bit deceiving. So here I am bringing y’all a true list of 30 kid friendly activities in Maryland. Let’s dive in.

1. Maryland Science Center – Baltimore

Let’s start off this list of kid friendly activities in Maryland off right in the heart of the Inner Harbor Bmore at the Maryland Science Center. This 3-story interactive learning center is perfect for kids of all ages (and adults who are still kids at heart). There are over 10 major exhibits to explore, live science demonstrations, IMAX movies, and a planetarium. Your family is sure to be busy from the moment you walk through the door to the minute you leave.

2. Port Discovery – Baltimore

If you feel like your kids are too young for the Science Center, Port Discovery is an excellent alternative. Port Discovery is also a 3-story interactive learning experience in the Inner Harbor, but it is targeted for kids ages 0-12. Whether you want to let your baby crawl around, your toddler to have sensory play in the water, or your older kid to get sweaty with a game of soccer, Port Discovery has a little something for everyone.
